Flickr adds video!

OK, so I guess Techcrunch (as usual) had the scoop on this one but it caught me by surprise. One huge reason for the move is to drive users to pay their $24.95 and go Pro (required to upload video. Flickr is a huge bandwidth drain and they have to start paying for it somehow.

Oh and by the way 90 seconds and 150 Mb are the limits...for now.

DigitalTunes

Ok, so since this site is updated so regularly (hmmm) I thought I would start another blog. This one is a purely going to focus on the intersection of muisc and technology and I really want to make it a pretty decent place. This site does a nice job of cataloging various English accents around the world. Some of the accents do not seem to be the best example of the particular geography but it is still a nice collection and fun to explore.

LibriVox: Listening to the Classics for Free

LibriVox allows for free online listening or download (mp3, ogg vorbis, podcast) of public domain classics like: Treasure Island, Christmas Carol and Pride and Prejudice

Their library is somewhat limited, but you can volunteer to record a chapter of one of their current projects or you can "go solo" and do the whole book.
