I was very saddened by the news of his suicide this week. I can only hope that more people will take the time to read some of his wonderful prose in the wake of his death.

hadn't heard of him before , , , thoroughly enjoyed what i read of an artical he wrote for Harpers. Language, esp english and is misuse is a special discussion topic I have with Ben and Timira, my 2 oldest. I sent them the article and they had a great time reading it together while taking turns driving on the way to Seattle. Sad news, but thanks for the recommendation.
